Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service
"Providing Families an Everlasting Service"
As, of March 11, 2020, The Center for Disease Control (CDC), in addition to other federal agencies have issued guidelines for public gatherings. These guidelines also apply to funerals, visitations, and memorial services. The federal government’s COVID-19 White House response team recommends that public gatherings should not exceed ten (10) persons. The Arkansas Funeral Directors Association has advised funeral homes to keep visitations, funerals, and memorial services to the smallest gathering of immediate family members only.
Our only wish is to protect the families and communities that we serve as best we can, by honoring families’ wishes for visitations and memorial services to continue to happen, and also honoring our duty to the general public to ensure that no unnecessary risks are taken that would increase the risk of spread of this virus. We would be very happy to talk you through the reasons behind this as they apply to your particular circumstances. Our only hope is that we give our community the very best service that we can.
