Alicia Bershawn “Shawn” Montgomery was born on October 12, 1970 to Alonzo and Beverly Montgomery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Alicia was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School.
Alicia was an impeccable cook and a devoted caregiver. When her niece was born in 2011, she quickly devoted her time and energy to help raise and care for her. In 2015 she became a devoted caregiver to her cousin “Butterbean” Kharter Jackson. She adored all her nieces and nephews. Alicia made countless gourmet standard meals for everyone in the family.
Alicia loved older fine automobiles and collected models of them, and she also collected hats, shoes, cassette tapes, and coins. She loved to read fiction novels, and mostly she loved spending time with her family and friends. Alicia was the life of the party, and would be the first to get up and dance. Her humor made everyone laugh. Alicia was one of a kind and never to be duplicated.
Alicia transitioned this life unexpectedly on September 29, 2022 at UAMS hospital at the age of 51.
She was preceded in death by her mother Beverly Joyce Paige Montgomery
Alicia leaves to cherish her loving memories, her father; Alonzo Montgomery, brothers; Alonzo Montgomery II, and Dedrick Montgomery, sister; Candice Montgomery, as well as her honorary child, her niece Carrigan Bradley all of Little Rock, AR, her nieces and nephews; Destiny and Jahlil Montgomery of Virginia, Alonzo Montgomery III, and Jacolby Montgomery of Little Rock, AR, and Carrigan Bradley of Little Rock AR.
Alicia will be severely missed by her family and friends and everyone who knew her.
