Betty Jo Aaron Smith was born on February 20th 1949 in North Little Rock AR., to the late Hattie P Aaron and John Aaron(Step-father). She transitioned on November 27, 2022 on a brilliant sunny day at the age of 73 years old. Her contagious smile and nurturing spirit will be missed.
Betty grew up in North Little Rock where she graduated from Scipio A. Jones High School. She was a member of the marching band (clarinet) Thespian Club, and Honor Society. As an adult she became a long time employee of Westinghouse (North American Phillips) until the company was relocated. Betty saw an opportunity to fulfill a longtime dream of becoming a nurse. She went back to school and became a Charge Nurse for the American Red Cross Blood Drive (Mobile) until she retired. She completed another milestone, to become a chartering member for the Theta Sigma Philo Affiliate Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.
Betty was preceded in death by (siblings) Josephine Smith, Phyllis Hampton, Dorothy McDaniel, Doris Jean Longley, Earsie Greenwood, (Father) George S Deadmon, and her (Ex-spouse) Paul A. Smith
She leaves to cherish her memories Children; Nickole Smith, Alicia Smith, Paul (Quintera) Smith, Aletha Smith, and Octavia (Alfonce) Dickerson. brother; Johnnie (Faye) Greenwood, sisters; Carolyn Deadmon, Alicia Deadmon, and Angela (Isidro) Cruz and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
