With humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the passing of Carolyn Melinda Davis, who transitioned peacefully on July 2, 2025, at UAMS hospital in Little Rock, AR at the age of 76 as it was also her birthday.

She was born on July 2, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Azo and Rosetta Davis. Carolyn received her education in Wicomico County public schools. Although Carolyn didn’t graduate from high school, she later received her GED from James H. Graves adult high school in Georgetown, DE. Carolyn then enrolled in Woodridge business Institute in Salisbury, MD in the medical billing and coding program. After graduation, Carolyn was employed in the medical field.

Caroyln accepted Christ in 1985 at Greater Faith Temple C.O.C.I.C in Bridgeville, DE. She later was called to pastor her own church named Reedem Family Worship Center. Caroyln moved to Little Rock, AR in 2005 and became a member of Led by the Spirit of God Church. Carolyn will be remembered by all for her bug heart, her beautiful smile, her loving spirit and her warm hugs. She enjoyed worshipping God, teaching on Facebook, and collecting angels.

She is preceded in death by her parents Azo and Rosetta Davis, and her sister, Vera Davis.

She leaves loving memories to her three children, Gerina Jackson of Little Rock, AR, Tisheema Harper (Joseph) of Conyers, GA, Randolph Hitch of Little Rock, AR, three bonus sons; Darrell Shiles of Millsboro, DE, Troy Hitch (Beth) of Seaford, DE, Antoine Deshields (Helen) of Salisbury, MD, eight grandchildren; Jeffrey Lake, Desirae Smith, Marquis Jackson, Shania Pitts, Ma’ryah Jackson, Jadyn Shiles, Olycia Hitch and Randolph Hitch Jr., three siblings; Valerie Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Vivan Lawson ( Willie) of Salisbury, MD, Gregory Showell Sr., of Cibolo, Tx, and a host of bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

If the family could have one last conversation with Carolyn, they would say “Well Done, good and faith servant…… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” Matthews 25:23
