Mrs. Carolyn James was born Carolyn Sue Jones to Robert and Elnora Jones in Little Rock, AR on September 30, 1947. She departed this life on December 26,2024 at the age of 77 with her devoted husband at her side. She loved kids and later opened a home Daycare center. She loved shopping, cooking delicious meals for her family and her church. Carolyn had such a beautiful smile and loved to make jokes. She attended Public School in Little Rock, she also did some College credits. At a young age she attended Saint John Baptist Church, she later joined Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church and made it her church home. Everyone at church knew her as the “candy lady”.

Preceding her in death, her mother; Elnora Jones, Father; Robert Jones, Son; Larry Crutchfield, Grandson; Barry Campbell, 7) Sisters; Sarah Jackson, Cassie Watkins, Rosie Green, Estella Brown, Betty Harris, Genevieve Huggins, Angela Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband Melvin James, (6) Sons: Horace (Corvella) Crutchfield, Barry Crutchfield, Karlos (Lisa) Harris, Charles (Lakeisha) Harris, Sextus Harris, Kenny Johnson, all of Little Rock. Two Bonus children daughter Latasha Henderson, Son Rickie Taylor of West Memphis, AR. (3) Sisters: JoAnn Young, Lenora (Jessie) Bohlar, Linda Bennett of Little Rock. (3) Brothers: Virgil (Rita) Jones, Robert (Melanie) Jones, Major jones. A host of other relatives; grandkids, great grandkids, great- great grandkids, nieces and nephews.
