Charlotte Vernon-King was born November 23, 1962. She was born in Little Rock, Ar to James and Daisy Ray Vernon. Charlotte attended Mills High School and graduated in 1982. After graduation she attended Arkansas Business College in Little Rock pursuing her dreams in Technology.
Charlottes’ love for Christ began at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She became a first lady to Pastor Arvin King Sr. and was an avid reader of God’s word and a prayer warrior for her family. Charlotte loved children and worked in a nursery throughout her young adult life. Charlottes hobbies included shopping, beauty, AKA anything high fashion. Charlotte had a great love for music, and dancing. She loved to dance with her granddaughters. Charlotte loved spending time with family at her favorite restaurant Popeyes. She will truly be missed by all that knew her best. She will be remembered most for her straightforward attitude and unconditional love and compassion.
She leaves to cherish her beloved memories: sons Antwain Vernon Sr. (Kenya) and Arvin King Jr. (Anjelicia); ten grandchildren; brother Kenneth Brown; nieces Kharyssa Brown, Katrina Brown, Chyrell Craig; nephew Ivan Stephens; special cousin Michael Wyatt; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Pastor Arvin King Sr.; Parents James and Daisy Ray Vernon; Grandparents Herbert and Estella Haley (maternal), Jessie and Emily Jean Vernon (paternal); Sister JoAnn Jarrett; nephew Kenneth Brown Jr.; grandchild Autumn Vernon.
