Claude L. Jackson, 82, of Little Rock transitioned on April 28, 2023. Claude was born on May 3, 1941 in Moro, AR to the late Hattie Lee Broadway and Joe Jackson. Preceding him in death were two brothers; Willie C. Canady and Bonnie Canady Jr.; two sisters, Cora Lee Birt and Bettie Hughes, and one brother-in-law, Charles McCall. He was baptized at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church in Moro, Arkansas. He later joined Second Baptist Church at 1709 John Barrow Road in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Claude attended Moro Public Schools. He moved to Little Rock, AR in 1964 to pursue his dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. However, he met and married the love of this life, Dorothy Sampson Jackson; who not only became his wife, but his strongest advocate in business.
Claude owned and operated several businesses in Little Rock, Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee. He was co-owner of the Quarter Note Club for 10 years, and was the current President of Quality Security Services, Incorporated. He received numerous awards and recognitions for his outstanding service and was well-respected for his contributions to the business community in Arkansas.
Claude is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Jackson; and one son, Granville “Ronnie” Smith (Tina) of Tucson, Arizona; three daughters, Tamica Lacey of Fort Worth, Texas, Selandria Jackson of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Cristil Rycraw (Shawn) of Alexander, Arkansas; two sisters, Jessie Mae Harrison (Robert) and Thelma McCall and 3 brothers-in-laws; James Hughes, Johnnie Morris Sr., and Dock Sampson. Grandchildren: Deszzarray, Christopher, Christian (Abbie), Tristian, Khyrah, Precious, Ashley (Juan), Joshua (Quiaira), Granville Jr., Griffin (Vanessa), Khloe, and Shawn Jr., and a host of great grand-children, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
