D’Mahre affectionally known as “Drew” or “Heavy D” was born to the union of Kevin Dillard, Sr. and Jacquelyn-Olaiya (Dillard) Poindexter on May 24, 2001. Drew was the youngest of the children and was always his parents’ “bubbly”, “witty” & BIG SMILE chil

Drew was baptized at a young age under the leadership of Pastor Tyron Tatum of City of Fire Ministries. Later in 2011 Drew joined King Solomon Baptist Church of NLR, Arkansas under the leadership of Pastor Charles Caradine, Jr.

Drew was very active in many things which included, playing football, martial arts, band at school, science projects and he especially loved being involved in his mother’s businesses and learning marketing and numbers from her. He started playing football at the early age of 3 years old with UPC Lions and AR Lions. He also played with the Jacksonville Mighty Vikings. He studies martial arts under the leadership of Chief Master Richard Anderson at Anderson’s Taekwondo Academy, and he played in the band at Pulaski Heights Jr. High School and Little Rock Central High School. He enjoyed playing the drums and saxophone. When it comes to building and putting things together, Drew loved every minute of doing it. Doing his science projects and Chemistry Class was what he really enjoyed in school. Most of all Drew loved people and making people laugh by saying something goofy or by saying his favorite word “FACTS”!

Drew was taken away from us tragically on January 03, 2022, while attempting to be a peacemaker. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by Grandmother Barbara Jean West McCray, Grandfathers John L. Sevier, Rev. Artie Paul Poindexter and Delmar Strickland, Sr. His Brother Isaiah and Bonus Brother Rashaun. Sister Brittany LaChelle Special Aunt Debi Osa, Nina Bell and Hajaa Rene Moor-Ali, Uncles Ricky Calhoun, Sr. & Lamont “Bay Bay” Dotson.

He is survived by his parents Minister Jacquelyn-Olaiya Poindexter & Kevin Ambrose Dillard, Sr., Siblings Christopher Poindexter, Sr., Kevin Ambrose Dillard, Jr., Tionney LiChelle Dillard (Jeremiah Hollis, Jr.) & Endeah LiAmbernae Dillard. Grandmothers: Delores Jean Dillard-Binns, Betty Plant and Katherine Medlock-Buren. God-Dads James Johnson and Gregory Young, Sr. Bonus Dad Rodney Bryant, Sr. Special Aunts: Sandra Phillips, April Tate, Comeasha Daughtery, Ziva Dillard-Sanders, Lynn Moore, JoAnn Rhodes, Shenna Diggins, Janice Lynn Cossey, Larcenia Hall, Judy Sanders, Teri Ivy and Deidre FisherSpecial Uncles: Michael Patterson and Michael Strickland, Sr. Cousins: Tyree, Tristina, Ettanna, Pecola, Deonte, Shastia, Amia, Michael K., DeNiya and Renaysha.
