Doreatha Crosby Matheney was born on March13, 1962, in Lake Village, Arkansas to late Mr. O.D. Crosby and the late Weder Lee Litfield. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Woodson Temple Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Curtis Spencer. She was joined in marriage to Charles Matheney on December 10, 1996.

She was preceded in death by her father, O.D. Crosby, mother, Weder Lee Litfield, brother Ottis Crosby, and sister, Pauline Crosby.

To mourn her loss an cherish her memory, she leaves: her husband Charles Matheney of Little Rock, Arkansas,; One special son from God King Hampton of Little Rock, Arkansas, Five brothers Willie Lee Crosby (Ada) of Eudora, Arkansas; Carl Ray Crosby of St. Louis, Missouri; Kelvin Crosby of Little Rock, Arkansas; Roderick Crosby (Theresa) of McGehee, Arkansas; and Reginal Crosby (Robin) of Dallas, Texas. Four sisters: Darlene Crosby-Murdock of Alexander, Arkansas; Retha Baker of Atlanta, Georgia; Felisha Crosby of Maumelle, Arkansas; and Karolyn Taylor (Terrell) of Little Rock, Arkansas. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
