Dwayne D. Turner

January 24, 1969 ~ May 19, 2021 (age 52)

Obituary

Dwayne D. Turner was born January 24, 1969 in Marianna AR, to Lillian Chatwood-Turner and the late Cary Turner. He was preceded in death by his father Cary, his sister Verna and his oldest niece Shonlonda “ Nickey” Abernathy-Perry. Dwayne departed this earth on May 19, 2021 and will be greatly missed.

Dwayne was ordained as minister of God under the leadership of  Pastor  Ricky Dean where he served in the ministry  preaching and teaching the word of God. Before his untimely death he was sitting under the leadership of  Dr. Sheilar Clark and Pastor  Samuel Gooding. Pastor Gooding prophesied a word from God to Dwayne on Mother’s Day, May 9, 2021 to go on a two day fast and to present himself back to the Lord.  Dwayne stood on that word and began his fast at midnight that night. Only God knew that he would call Dwayne home 10 days later. The biblical meaning of the number 10 is the completed course of time or completeness in divine order. God was preparing Dwayne to come HOME.

Dwayne was known for his great cooking abilities and being a wonderful entertainer. He loved family cookouts and being around family. He loved his family so much, especially his son and his nieces, and nephews. He will be remembered as Belvis, The Black Elvis by so many in our community and around the world.
