Earlene Jenkins Smith, a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 74. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 1, 1951. Earlene spent her childhood years growing up in the community of McAlmont, Arkansas. She went on to dedicate her professional life to helping others, working for many years as a deeply caring and compassionate nurse. Her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to her patients left a lasting impact on everyone she cared for throughout her career.

Earlene was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her legacy of love and care will live on through her family she cherished so deeply. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Castleberry Jenkins, and her granddaughter, Ashlei Roberts.

Earlene leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters; LaVonda and Charlotte Smith, her brother, Sammy Turnage, her four grandchildren, Brian Smith, Morgan Starks, Isaiah and Isaac Israel, her eight beloved great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
