On March 2, 1969, Edward L. Jordan and Albertha Jordan of Little Rock, Arkansas was blessed with a wonderful son named Edwin Lamonte Jordan.

Edwin was educated in Little Rock, AR Parkview High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Northern Community College in Virginia.

Edwin served his country for 22 years in the United States Army traveling all over the world and retired a SFC in 2008. Throughout his life, he never lost his faith in God. He had a pleasant and easy-going personality that will truly be remembered by all. He had a love for the spoken word that dated back to early years in the Army. During his tour of duty in Washington D.C, Edwin toured Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina speaking on live sets and entering many poetic competitions.

Edwin was married to Vera Jordan from April 10, 2001, until death. To their union, 2 children, Erica and Lamonte Jordan were born.

Mr. Edwin Jordan was called home on Friday December 13, 2024, at 1:15 pm at the age of 55 years, 9 months. His younger brother, Troy Jordan proceeded him in death.

Edwin leaves to cherish his memory his spouse of 23 years Vera Jordan; Daughters: Brittney Jordan, Jasmine Jordan, Erica Jordan, Umari Peterson, Angel Jordan and Kathryn Peterson; stepdaughters, Alicia Jones and Destiny Howze; Sons, Cameron Woodberry, and Lamonte Jordan; Grandson, John McGriff IV; Step Grandson Josiah Jones; Parents: Edward T. Jordan and Albertha Jordan; Siblings: Late Troy Jordan (Tiffany), Kimberly Vance (Eldrick), Leslie Jefferson (Arthur), Tina Greenwood (Danny); Bro-Cousin (Vernon Jordan), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
