Elsie Lee Dodson was born July 24, 1959 to the late L.C. Pugh and Pollie Rochelle Pugh of Star City, Arkansas. After the passing of her mother, Eula Mae Pugh and Alvin Lee Pugh raised and took on the responsibility of Elsie. She attended Star City High school and accepted Christ at an early age at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She continued her love for the Lord while serving others at Seventh Day Advantage Church where she remained a faithful worshipper and tither until her health did not allow.
Elsie worked in many places but she was also disabled. She lived to help others, especially making sure no one was hungry. She was known for her greens, sweet potato pies, and BBG sauce. She was the go to for Thanksgiving Orders.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents and parents, a daughter Shirleen Darrough and four siblings, Johnnie Kennedy, Louise of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Albert Pugh and Paul Ray Pugh of Little Rock, Arkansas.
On December 11, 2020 Elsie was called home for eternal Rest. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 24 years Theodis Dodson Sr of North Little Rock AR her daughters; Shawnta Pugh of Mississippi, Polly Dolls of Little Rock, WillenaDarrough of Wrightville, Arkansas, and one son Leo Darrough Jr of Little Rock. 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her brothers; Curtis Lee Pugh of Chicago, Illinois, Haywood Pugh of Memphis, Alfred Pugh of Star City, Arkansas, and Eric Pugh of Nebraska, her sisters; Mae Pugh of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Pearlie Marshal of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and friends. She will be greatly missed.
