Eric Colvin

Eric Colvin, 61, passed away on January 25, 2021 at his home in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Eric was born June 10, 1959 in Chicago, IL, to loving parents Claude Colvin, Sr. and Julia Mae Colvin (née Earl). As the fourth child of five, Eric‘s big personality, bright spirit, and hands-on approach to life made him a popular resident of his childhood neighborhood of Englewood. As an adult, he relocated to Little Rock, where he matured and thrived, building many more meaningful connections and friendships.

From a young age, Eric was known to be a hard worker. He enjoyed a career as a talented professional truck driver, working with multiple elite transportation and logistics companies, including J.B. Hunt and the City of Little Rock.Through his extensive travels, he witnessed and appreciated the beauty of many American landscapes, often telling stories of his experiences and lessons learned.

From fishing to camping, Eric thoroughly loved nature and outdoor activities. He enjoyed blues music, barbequing, home improvement tasks, and of course: trucks. Eric was great at socializing and meeting people; he was respectful, trustworthy, and lovable. Eric was strong, even through his toughest life battles and his humble nature was inspiring and impressive.

Eric is survived by daughter Julia; younger brother Marlon; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many, many close friends who will miss him dearly. Eric joins his father Claude, mother Julia, older brother Claude Jr., and older sisters Deborah and Wanda, in their heavenly resting place. Eric will always hold a piece of our hearts and we are so proud of the man he was.
