Gloria Dean Sims Murphy was born June 2, 1945 in Marvell, AR to Rufus & Vashti (Harding) Sims. She departed this life Thursday February 25, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Beatrice Walker, one great grandson, and husbands Garland Parker, Theartris Bryant and Paul Murphy Jr.
Gloria was a graduate of M.M. Tate High, class of 1964. She accepted Christ at an early age. She later in life became a member of Allport Community Fellowship under the leadership of her brother Rev. Lacey K. Sims where she served faithfully until her demise.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories 3 sons, Michael (Catrina) Parker of Conway, AR, Marcus Parker of Port Gibson, MS and Rodney ( Marilyn) Bryant of Conway, AR. Five brothers; Arnel ( Ethel) Sims and Lacey ( Doris) Sims of England, AR, Rowland ( Brenda) Sims of Detroit, MI., Melvin ( Helen) Sims of Minneapolis, MN., and James (Nancy) Sims of Brooklyn Park, MN. Seven sisters; Olympsie Johnson of Greensboro, NC., Artelia Royster of Bryant, AR., Evon ( Arthur) Ford of Little Rock, AR., Algeria Sims of St. Paul, MN. Erma Washington of Minneapolis, MN, Jessie Mae ( Donnie) Farr of Marvell, AR and Tanya Bennett of North Little Rock, AR. A Special Uncle John ( Bertha) Sims of Hot Springs, AR. Eight grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, one great great grandson Kevin Nicholas Hall Jr. and a host of relatives and friends. Gloria Will be greatly missed
