John Louis Wallace was born March 14, 1952, in Dermott, Arkansas to England and Blanche Wallace, (both have preceded him in death). He was the seventh child of ten, and now there are six (6). (Delores), Ollie, (Jaye), Romanetha, (Jesse Bernard), Harold, (John), William, Junetta, and Raymond. John graduated from Chicot County High School in 1970. He attended AM&N (UAPB) and left to join the United States Army for 4 years. If you ever met John, you didn’t forget him. In Dermott, his nickname was “Beaugard”, but he had a marshmellow loving heart.
In 1972 John was blessed with his daughter, Natasha who blessed him with five (5) grandchildren. Through his wife Leona of 27 years, John was so blessed with (3) BONUS children, Marvin (Rose), Joe (Charlene), and Cynthia, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
John was an entrepreneur; he operated TLC Transportation Services for years, A Detailing Service and a Charter Bus Driver. He was a Worker, and he was a neat kin, everything had to be in its place. Without a doubt John LOVED his Mother and his Aunt Elma. He called them every night to say “nighty-night.”
The Lord marvelously saved John over twenty years ago, and he united with Greater Trinity Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the legendary Saint DeWitt Hill, Jr. Every church member I spoke with said the same thing, “Greater Trinity will not be the same without Brother John.” He served as Deacon, in the early years as Trustee, Choir Member, and anything else, including cooking in the kitchen. He served his leader and the church. To the new Pastor, John said, “I am with him as soon as I feel better.” He was described as a faithful behind the scene servant leader.
John leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 27 years Leona, their children Natasha, Marvin (Rose), Cynthia, and Joseph (Charlene), his sisters and brothers Ollie, Romanetha, Junetta, Harold, William and Raymond, his Aunt Elma, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews (his Birthday Buddy Lori) and many friends and loved ones.
