Julie Marie McArthur, age 65, passed away at her home on July 15,2026, leaving behind a family that is heartbroken, grateful, and already wondering who is going to make Papa's Seasoning and her famous dressing quite like she did. Born on Wednesday, January 18th, 1961, in Wahoo, Nebraska. She was the beloved daughter of Edris Sue McArthur, and Robert Daniel McArthur and spent her life proving that love is best shown through laughter, remembering the small details, and making sure everyone left her house with a full stomach—and usually leftovers they didn't ask for.

She dedicated her life to her friends and family, who were always the center of her world. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines, spoiling her grandchildren, offering advice that was equal parts wisdom and honesty, or telling people stories of the places she had been and the people she met. She had a way of making people feel loved, even when she was fussing over them. She somehow managed to know exactly when someone needed encouragement, a home-cooked meal, or a gentle reminder you are a part of the "McArthur Train."

Julie believed no problem was too big to face with a little love, a lot of determination, and perhaps one more cup of coffee. She had a gift for making strangers feel like family and family feel like they belonged, whether they wanted to admit it or not. She always found time to make sure everyone else was taken care of before herself.

She enjoyed art, crocheting, cooking, gardening, card games, sewing, crafts, and drawing, but her favorite thing above all was undoubtedly taking care of the people she loved. She celebrated every birthday, remembered every anniversary, and never forgot to ask how you were doing—even if she had already heard the answer yesterday. Her grandchildren knew that visiting Grandma meant leaving with snacks, a little spending money tucked into a pocket, and enough love to last until the next visit.

She wasn't perfect. She could be wonderfully stubborn, had opinions on just about everything, and was never afraid to tell you exactly what she thought, or speak her mind. Her quick wit, dark sense of humor, and unforgettable sayings will continue to be repeated at family gatherings for years to come.

She was preceded in death by Robert Daniel McArthur, Edris Sue McArthur, and Mary Sue Huls. She is lovingly survived by Brandy McArthur her beloved daughter and Grandchildren Greyson McArthur, Daniel McArthur, Christopher McArthur, Emma McArthur. Her siblings Cheryl McArthur, Robert Huls, and David Huls. Along with countless friends, neighbors, and extended family whose lives are richer because she was part of them.

Though we will miss hearing her laugh, listening to her stories for the hundredth time, and receiving her loving reminders to eat more, call more often, and drive safely, we know her greatest legacy isn't found in any one accomplishment. It lives on in the family she nurtured, the traditions she created, the recipes we'll forever try to recreate, and the love she gave so freely. We will carry her with us every day—in our hearts, in our homes, and in every family meal where someone inevitably says, "Grandma would've done it this way."

A celebration of her remarkable life will be held on July 29, 2026, at First Church Ozark 204 N 4th St, Ozark, AR, 72949 with Rev. Steve. We invite those who knew her to come together to share stories, laughter, and perhaps a few tears as we honor a woman who taught us that life is meant to be lived generously, family should always come first, and dessert is rarely a bad idea.

She leaves us with hearts that are broken but full—full of memories, gratitude, laughter, and love. We will miss her more than words can say, but we're thankful beyond measure that she was ours.
