Kayla Paige Hughes was born December 28, 1994, to Ashlee Perry-Renfroe and Brian Hughes in Little Rock, AR. She passed away on August 31, 2022. She is preceded in death by her sister, Jasmine Hughes, her grandmother, Linda Perry, and her uncle Joe Perry. She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Arion and Caylen Johnson, three sisters, Dominique Hughes, Katya Baker and Brianna Stroud, one brother, Brian Hughes Jr, both parents, Ashlee Renfroe and Brian Hughes, grandparents and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Kayla took dance lessons as long as anyone can remember which she carried into her adulthood. She was the life of the party at any gathering as she often would be willing hit any dance move, at any given moment in time. She also developed a passion for hair, make-up and loved experimenting with colors. After graduating from Parkview High in 2013, she further pursued her childhood passions and graduated from Regency Beauty Institute. In recent months, Kayla rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized at The Gap Mission Church in Conway, Arkansas.
Kayla understood and knew the true definition of "living life to the fullest." She touched many lives with her infectious laugh and contagious personality. She had a knack for making people laugh; even when not trying, especially when not trying. Her vibrancy and radiant beauty inside and out, could light up any room. Kayla simply loved life; she loved her family, and most importantly she loved her two boys.
She was an example of selflessness and authenticity, never afraid to be herself. She will be dearly missed and celebrated eternally.
