Marcenia Young

Obituary

Marcenia Young, 60 years of age, passed unexpectedly on November 15, 2020. She was born August 2, 1960 in Hickory, NC to the late Charles Lee and Nellie Rose Robinson Young.  She was preceded in death by her eldest brother, Jerry and his wife Donna Young.

She was a woman of great faith and professed her life to Christ abundantly. A graduate of Remington College, she treasured working in her church, congregating with family and friends and cherished praising the Lord.  She was devoted to reading her bible, praying for and with others, and was a loving and caring person with a contagious laughter, a warm smile, and a huge heart.  

Marcenia leaves to cherish her precious memory to her brothers, Charles Young, Marvin Young, Dennis (Gladys) Young, Reginald (Tasha) Young; and her sisters Norma (Richard) Gaither, Ronda (Travis) Propst, and Amanda Young all of Hickory, NC along with a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, church family and friends. 

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
