Marie Applewhite

Marie Applewhite was born in Fargo, AR on January 6, 1943, to Goldie Hicks and Jessie Lee Hubbard. Marie attended school at Marion Anderson in Brinkley, AR. She met and married Richard Applewhite and together they became a family of 10, having 4 boys and 4 girls and the family resided in Goodwin, AR. Marie worked at Sanyo for over 20 years and shortly after retirement she moved to Dallas, TX. Marie Applewhite later moved to Little Rock, AR, and this was her final place of residence until she was called to glory on 10/15/2022.

Marie Applewhite was preceded in death by her father Goldie Hicks, her mother Jessie Lee Hicks, her Sister Ophelia Hicks, and Brothers Albert Hicks, Earnest Hicks, and Goldie Hicks Jr.

 She leaves to cherish her memories her four sons; Sylvester (Debra) Applewhite of Little Rock, AR, Edward (Vanessa) Applewhite of Little Rock, AR, Lorenzo Applewhite (Karla) of Seagoville, TX, Len (Diana) Applewhite Sr. of Dallas, TX; Four daughters; Diane Barton of Little Rock, AR, Patricia (James) Stanley of West Memphis, AR, Nellie Applewhite of McKinney, TX, and Flessie Davis of Lancaster; her brothers; McArther ( Brenda) Hicks of Goodwin,AR, and Ray McKissick of Forrest City, AR. twenty-seven grandchildren, a loving abundance of great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. 

Marie Applewhite will be greatly missed!
