Misty Lynn Lewis, 46, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on April 6, 2026, in Little Rock. She was born on June 18, 1979, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to James W. Jr. and Catherine V. Porchia Lewis. Misty accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Second Baptist Church where she was a member of the Rideout Chorale Choir and also played the drums.

Misty was a proud graduate of Little Rock Central High School, Class of 1997, where she played basketball for the Lady Tigers. She also played drums in the Central High School band where she enjoyed using her musical talents and made lifelong friends. She went on to continue playing basketball at Arkansas Baptist College, carrying with her the same passion, heart, and competitive spirit that made her such a natural athlete.

Misty loved basketball, softball, and bowling, and was truly good at just about everything she tried. She even played football for a time. As an adult, she continued playing softball, and her JPW softball family meant the world to her. Beyond her athletic ability, Misty will be remembered for the joy she brought to those around her. She was funny, full of life, and loved spending time with her friends and family. She had a way of making people laugh and feel at ease, and her smile was truly unforgettable. The love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will stay in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by maternal parents, paternal parents, her father, James W. Lewis, Jr., and her mother, Catherine V. Lewis. 

She is survived by her brothers, James W. III(Taryn) of Alexander, AR, William of Little Rock, AR, and Demetrius(Jackie) of Garland, TX; her sister, Ann Jenkins of Shreveport, LA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
