Rosetta Whittaker was born June 9, 1944, in Dumas, Arkansas to Eddie Nelson Sr. and Irene White. Rosetta accepted Christ at an early age. When her and her family moved from Dumas to Little Rock, she became a member of Antioch Baptist Church and later moved her membership to New Light Church of God in Christ where she remained a faithful member and served as a missionary for New Light church of God in Christ as well as a Sunday school teacher.
Rosetta loved singing with her family and friends, and was apart of the Gospel Supremes, Heart of Joy and she also created her own gospel group with family, the J&S Gospel singers. She also loved knitting and making different outfits and blankets for close friends and family. She worked and retired from Phillips Lighting Company.
Rosetta married Charles Whittaker in April of 2007. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Wright, brothers; George Nelson, Leonard Nelson, and John Nelson, sisters; Suvella Nelson, and Denise Nelson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Charles Whittaker, her children, Alecia Green, Amanda Wright, Joyce Stokes, Earmon Wright Jr., Barbara Coakley, and Timothy Wright. Her siblings, Eddie Nelson Jr., Cleophus Nelson, Ada Mae Dixon, Rose Nelson, Mattie Nelson, and Wilma Nelson.
