Susan Gail Lightfoot Feuers, age 74, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on February 17, 1951, in Marshall, Missouri, Susan lived life on her own terms—boldly, honestly, and without apology. She met the love of her life, Ritchie Feuers, at three years old in a tap-dancing class, a bond that grew from high school sweethearts to a marriage that lasted fifty-six years. They built a life and a family together, sharing a strong, enduring partnership. 

Susan was known for her sharp wit, unfiltered honesty, and fiercely independent spirit. She said what she meant and meant what she said, and you always knew where you stood with her. Though she had a tough exterior, she loved deeply and protected those she cared about with unwavering strength.

She found joy in simple pleasures—singing, baking, travelling, and laughing. She made the meanest chocolate sheet cake west of the Mississippi, had potentially the greatest Mary Katherine Gallagher impression of all time, and loved Silver Dollar City and Cracker Barrel as much as the next person. She had a big personality and an even bigger heart, and we loved her for it.

Another one of Susan's lifelong loves were flowers, a passion that began following her training at a Colorado floral school. Her talent for arranging and growing flowers brought joy to many, and she often shared her creations with family and friends. She brought her floral skills into other aspects of her life, always keeping a beautifully maintained garden where she often enlisted the help of her children and grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children, Sunshine Lee (Tom) and Jacob Feuers (Nicole), and her grandchildren, Ella, Jake, Karlie, Cade, Camryn, Jack, Davis, and Luke, who adored her for her humor, candor, and love. A service celebrating her and her husband will be held on Saturday, June 21st at 11 AM at the Gilliam Cemetery in Missouri. She may be gone from sight, but her fire, her laughter, and her love will echo through the generations she helped shape.
