Tempess L. Spivey was born on June 25, 1993, to the late Tammie G. Spivey. She departed this earthly life on July 30, 2026, in Indianola, Mississippi, at the age of 33.

Tempess was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. At an early age, she gave her heart to God and developed a strong love for the Lord. She was a faithful member of Samaritan Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Bobby J. Acklin, where she joyfully served as a member of the choir.

Tempess attended Hall High School and later continued her education at Little Rock Job Corps Center, where she earned her GED. She went on to pursue a career in cosmetology and, with her entrepreneurial spirit, started her own online eyelash business. Music was a special part of Tempess's life. She faithfully sang alongside her mother and aunt in their family singing group, formerly known as Angel Hearts and now known as Truly Faithful. Her beautiful voice was a gift that touched the hearts of many, and her love for music will always be remembered. Tempess was a loving sister who cherished her family dearly.

She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings, Mersadis Mecockchi, Nikki Elebeke, and Brandon Spivey. She also leaves to cherish her memory her beloved aunts: Vickey (Chester) Martin of Sherwood, Arkansas; Amanda Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas; Irene (Frank) Franklin of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Quintella Butler of Sherwood, Arkansas.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her very special boyfriend, Damarcus Applewhite, whom she loved wholeheartedly; godbrother, Dec. Kevin Butler; her special uncle, Barry L. Williams; her beloved niece, Mikali Kirkwood, whom she held close to her heart; and her special nephew, Anthony Kirkwood. Tempess also leaves behind a host of cousins whom she loved dearly, including two who were always there for her, Fantacy Mason and Miesha Kabba.

Tempess will forever be remembered for her amazing voice, beautiful smile, infectious spirit, and that unforgettable laugh. Her presence brought love and joy to the lives of those who knew her. Though she is no longer with us in body, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

She will be deeply loved, greatly missed, and forever remembered.
