Timothy "Ray" Adams Obituary

Timothy Allen Adams known to many as “Ray Williams” was born August 12, 1957, to father Robert Lewis Williams and mother Lillie Beatrice Adams whom both preceded him in death.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Willie Easter Finch, bonus mom Ruby “Peach” Williams and one daughter Sgt Monica Adams of the US Army, sisters; Claudette and Beverly Williams, brother; Michael D. Montgomery

Tim graduated from Wilbur D Mills class of 1975 and shortly after he joined the Marines.  Tim served in the US Marine Corps and he wanted everyone to know he did. He was quick to tell you about his experiences as part of the Infinitary Unit out of at Camp Lejeune and other area of the world he was afforded the opportunity to visit. Upon returning from the Marine Corps Ray would often brag on his skills as a boxer challenge everyone from Hensley Community to his Higgins Switch community.

Timothy gave his life to Christ in his early adulthood at The Greater Trinity Church under the leadership of the late Dewitt Hill. He was afforded the opportunity to bring many souls to Christ and spread the Good News of our Savior. His most prized skill was the ability to divide the word of God and the ability to recall and quote the scriptures to support the word of God. Tim was known for his skills on the grill and his quick wit that keep his friends and family laughing. He was always mindful and of the mindset the His God can do anything if we just believe.

Tim leaves to cherish his loving and unforgettable memories his devoted wife and best friend Irene Adams, two sons Marcus Johnson and Timothy Adams, Two daughters Kayla Adams and Brittany Adams, bonus children Bethanie Freeman, Kurtis, Yolanda, Charles and Antonio Dickerson.  Brothers;  Tony ( Brenda) Adams, Vincent Williams, Mark Williams, Robert C. Williams, Vernon (Shirley) Williams, and Sidney Williams. Sisters; Charisse ( Luther) Green, Debra Williams, Terri Williams, Phlesia Williams-Woods, and Betty Brown. Eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A special niece Maria Danielle and a special cousin Sandra Leakes Harris
