Virgil Lee Darrough Obituary

Virgil Lee Darrough Jr. was born February 25, 1953 to the late Willie Lee Spencer and Virgil Darrough of Star City, Arkansas. He attended Star City High School and accepted Christ at an early age at St Stephens Baptist Church. He continued his love for the Lord while serving others at Willow Beach Church where he served as an usher with a beautiful smile.


Virgil started his work career with Tolliver Body Shop and later went into hauling cars with Arkansas Salvage Pool under the late Jerry Tolliver. After 25 years with Arkansas Salvage Pool, he went into his own business as “Virgil’s Hauling, Inc” of North Little Rock, Arkansas in 2005.


He was preceded in death by his brothers Elijah, Thomas, Dermond, Lewis, Billy Ray, and Fred Darrough. 


On October 1, 2020 Virgil was called home for eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter; Stacy Turner of San Diego, CA, son; Kedrick Darrough of Oakland, CA, six grandchildren; Danny Summons of Little Rock, AR, Danielle Turner of San Diego, CA, Keijunna, Teahan, Kenizia and Demond Darrough of Oakland, CA, three great grandchildren; Layla and Kayla Davidson of San Diego, CA and Danny Summons Jr. of Little Rock, Ar. Brothers Leo Darrough of Little Rock, AR, Cleo Darrough ( Michelle) of Dumas, AR, Edward Darrough of Little Rock, AR, Fred Anderson of Kansas City, AR and Donald Ray Darrough of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One sister; Marilyn Darrough of Star City, AR, one uncle; Elijah Spencer (Dollie) of Star City, AR. Two beautiful aunts Betty Harden and Judy Mckeever and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Virgil was blessed to have two great men he considered brothers Sylvester Hampton, and John Santos, along with numerous brothers and sisters at Arkansas Tow and recovery.
