Willie Ann Brooks-Stigall arrived on Earth on June 4, 1951, in Ladd, Arkansas and departed to Heaven on May 8, 2025. She was the beloved daughter to the late Willie Gene Brooks and Velma McDonald-Brooks. She was a proud graduate of the last African-American class of 1970 at Southeast High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was a beloved classmate and student. After graduation she went on to pursue a career as a CNA in nursing where her patients and coworkers loved her deeply.

Willie Ann began her journey with God at an early age. She joined First Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor J.L. McComb and received her baptism there as well. As she grew and proceeded on her journey with God, she became a passionate member of Woodson Temple Church of God in Christ of Woodson, Arkansas under the direction of the late Pastor Jewel Withers Sr. As her journey and passion for Christ continued, she rededicated herself to Second Baptist Church of Little Rock, Arkansas under the direction of Dr. Maurice Watson and served not only as a member but a Mother on the Mother’s Board. Throughout her journey in Christ, she touched the lives of many people through her warm embrace and unwavering faith in God.

She is preceded in death by her ex-husband Charles Lee Stigall, Mother Velma McDonald-Brooks, Father Willie Gene Brooks, Brother Robert White Sr. (Son), Sister Earnestine White, and Sister Joyce Martin-Davenport.

She leaves to cherish her memories and unconditional love by her three beautiful daughters: Miriam Santa-Cruz Butler (Robert), Cielita Santa-Cruz, Aviva Stigall (Marcus)and three handsome sons: Timothy Brooks (Tawana), Jarvis Brooks (LaKeitha), Antoine Stigall. She also leaves to cherish her memory six bonus children: Cynthia Stigall (Shantell), Ronald Stigall (Chandria), Timothy Stigall (Marion), Charles Lee Stigall Jr. (Sharonda), Charles Edward Stigall, Randy Stigall (Sheena). She will be remembered as a loving grandmother by her five beautiful granddaughters: Timesha Brooks, Cierra Santa-Cruz, Cieliciya Santa-Cruz, Hope Brown, Ava Wiley and eleven handsome grandsons: Jarvis Brooks Jr., Robert Butler Jr., Timothy Brooks Jr., Marshaun Wiley, Antoine Stigall Jr., Landon Brooks, Amarion Wiley, Aiden Stigall, Xaelen Brooks, Austin Stigall, Chevion Wiley. Two adorable great grandchildren: Davonte Hokes Jr., Za’Nyla Noah and a host of loving bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be remembered as a loving sister by one brother: Eddie Nelson, three sisters: Colena Frost, Rosie White, Darlene White and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Willie Ann loved to read her bible, attend church, and spend time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her bright light that shun on many people and her ball of fire filled with the spirit during her Sunday morning praises to the Lord. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her. To know her was to love her.
