In Loving Memory & Legacy
Rev.
Ricky Calhoun Sr. of North Little Rock, AR graduated from Jacksonville High
School in 1971. He later graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service
with an Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service. Rev. Calhoun Sr. was a
member and Associate Minister of the King Solomon Baptist Church for many
years. He served at Dubisson Funeral Home before branching out starting his own
funeral home in North Little Rock naming it Calhoun Funeral Home. Later he
moved to a larger facility in Southwest Little Rock renaming it to
Wilson-Calhoun Funeral Home. He serviced the greater Little Rock surrounding
areas until 2007. Rev. Calhoun Sr. trained his son Ricky Calhoun Jr. and
Gary Brown Jr. to become extinguished professionals. Later they came together
starting Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service in 2017. Rev. Calhoun Sr. transition
this life on August 3,2019. He left behind unconditional love to his wife
Jearldine Calhoun, their two children and six grandchildren. With Brown-Calhoun
Funeral Service "Providing Families an Everlasting Service", it
allows The Calhoun Legacy to live on.

Gary
A. Brown, Jr is a graduate of Hall High School Class of 1996. Mr. Brown is also
a graduate of the Dallas institute of Funeral Service where he obtain an
Associate in Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service. Mr. Brown started
working for Wilson-Calhoun Funeral Home in 2001 to 2007. Later to work
for P & K Mortuary from 2014 to 2016 as the general manager. Gary developed
the passion for the funeral industry at a young age. He has always had a
passion to help people. Gary is a member of the Masonic Lodge ABC #15 Most
Worshipful Scottish Rite. Being apart of the lodge he gain a greater passion to
help people, as well as becoming a better father and husband. Gary always has
found himself serving, he has own and operated his own cab for The Yellow Cab
Company for over 12 years. Gary's passion never left the funeral industry
always wanting to open a funeral home. On March of 2017 God Bless Mr. Brown and
Mr. Calhoun with their own state of art facility Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service
at 7117 Geyer Springs Rd. Gary is a faithful member of the New Light Church of
God In Christ. He is married to Angela Brown together they have one son Gary
Brown, III.

Ricky
Calhoun, Jr is a graduate of Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School Class of
2000. Mr. Calhoun is also a graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service
where he obtain an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Funeral Service.
Later to get a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Strayer
University. Ricky first the developed the passion for the funeral industry in
1996 when his father Ricky Calhoun, Sr opened his first funeral home, Calhoun
Funeral Home in North Little Rock, AR. While working for his Dad they relocated
to a larger facility in Southwest Little Rock and rename to Wilson-Calhoun
Funeral Home. There they service the Greater Little Rock and surrounding areas
from 2001-2007. Stepping away from the business and excelling in the oil
& gas industry. Ricky’s passion never went away he later began to work at P
& K Mortuary from 2014 to 2016. Being faithful and humble in March of 2017
God Bless Mr. Brown and Mr. Calhoun with their own state of art facility
Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service at 7117 Geyer Springs Rd. Ricky is also a Youth
& Young Adult Pastor at Second Baptist Church in Little Rock. Ricky is
married to Lorin Calhoun and together they have 7 children.

Nicole
Calhoun is a graduate of Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School. She developed
the passion for the Funeral Industry when she began working for Wilson-Calhoun
Funeral Home, located in Southwest Little Rock, AR. She worked under the
leadership of her father, the late Rev Ricky Calhoun Sr. while they served the
Greater Little Rock and surrounding areas. After stepping away from the
funeral industry in 2007, she started other job adventures. In 2017 she came
back to the Industry and joined her brothers Ricky Calhoun and Gary Brown at
Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service, located in southwest Little Rock, also serving
the Greater Little Rock and surrounding areas. Nicole is a member of King
Solomon Baptist Church and she has always believed in putting God first. With
her being the Office Secretary of Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service and the
Director over Monuments, she has made it her number one priority to stand by
"Providing Families An Everlasting Service. Nicole is more than a blessing
to the Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service.
Funeral Apprentice
Donnita is the owner of Panache Beauty
& Barber located in N.L.R Arkansas, which opened the year of 2008. Her
salon provides private suites for individual use which is currently staffing 11
professionals. At Panache a variety of services are offered such as
Men/Women/Kids haircuts, Natural Styles, Yoni Steaming and more. Donnita has been a member of Second Baptist
Church under the Pastor Dr. Kevin A. Kelly over 13 years. As a member of Second Baptist she has
worked with the Activity Ministry and is currently working with the Media
Ministry. She also has a passion for helping the homeless and anyone in need. Donnita has been apart of the Brown-Calhoun
family since October 2019. She believes the success of serving families starts
the minute they come through the door. At Brown-Calhoun 'We Strive to Provide
Families an Everlasting Service' and that we stand behind every word. Donnita
is more than a great asset to Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service.
Funeral Apprentice
Santisha has
a heart to serve and is gifted in administration and leadership. She always had
a passion to serve families in bereavement and began working in the funeral
industry in 1999. She continued to serve
her community while administering federal subsidized housing and housing
assistance to low-income families in central Arkansas for many years. She
transitioned from the housing industry into the world of Talent Acquisition,
managing the full cycle of recruiting and associate hiring. Spiritually she works
alongside her husband Byron L. Calhoun, who is the pastor of St. John Baptist
Church in Lonoke, AR. She humbly works behind the scenes and is the
Director of Women of Faith Ministry and Out of the Box Ministry. Santisha loves
the Lord and is dedicated to ministry. She believes while she commits all she
does to the most high he will establish her plan.
Funeral Attendant| Facilities Director
Rev. Kerry Woolfolk studied at Arkansas Baptist College with a Bachelor Degree in Arts Religious Studies, and graduated in May of 2016. He is presently the owner and operator of KLW Transportation. He is committed and compassionate about helping others. Rev. Woolfolk is presently serving as a Discipleship Pastor at the Centeridge Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock Arkansas. He joined the Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service to stay committed to providing an everlasting service. He is currently the Facilities Director and he is grateful to be apart of the family. Rev. Woolfolk is more than a great asset to the Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service.
Funeral Apprentice
Mr. Griffin, the proud father of three, is a life long Arkansan. He is a 1991 graduate of Wynne High School. He attended college at Arkansas State University of Jonesboro and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has several year of experience serving his community through nonprofit organizations and mentor programs. Being a pastor's child, he man of Faith who love the Lord and look to word of God for guidance in every aspect of his life. Although he is new to the profession and currently working on his Funeral Directors apprenticeship, he has passion for compassion, comfort, counseling and providing families and everlasting service. He is great asset to the Brown-Calhoun family.
Funeral Apprentice| Marketing Director
Patra Sims is a graduate from Blytheville High School. She has worked in
Customer Service for 10 years and she is very dedicated to serving people.
Patra has been employed with Dillard’s as a Sales Specialist, Verizon Wireless
as a Customer Retention Pro, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Customer
Service Rep. Patra is currently running a Blog "Aidan's Palace" where
she highlights her experiences and promote several businesses. She has been a
Funeral Attendant for Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service since September 2019 and
she became the Marketing Director in September 2020. Patra has been a
member of Grace Temple since 2015. She lives by the statement “A kind gesture
can reach a wound that only compassion can heal” and she thrives to make sure every family is provided with an everlasting service. She is beyond a great asset to the Brown-Calhoun family.
