LEN LEROY BARNES, 58, departed this life on February 11, 2024. Len was born January 26,1966 to Margaret Underwood and Leroy Buster Barnes, Sr. in Little Rock, Arkansas. He grew up in various neighborhoods around Little Rock, mostly in the Granite Mountain community, where he made lots of lifelong friends.

He gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Gaines Street Missionary Church, by Reverend Timothy Chambers, Jr.

He attended Little Rock Public Schools and worked predominantly in the hospitality industry. Len was a no-nonsense type of guy with a teddy bear heart.

Wherever he was, you can bet his presence was known. He loved his family and his friends. He was united in marriage on February 11, 1998, to Betty Harris. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Harris Barnes his parents, Margaret Underwood and Leroy Buster Barnes, Sr.; his sister, Marilyn Underwood-Dean; his brother, Leroy Buster Barnes, Jr. and his nephews, Alex Hughes and Antonio Foley.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his bonus mom, Mrs. Louvenia Barnes, his brothers, Michael (Shermish) Underwood, Mitchell Underwood, Stanley (Vickie) Barnes, Larnel (Kitty) Barnes, Ernest (Sandra) Barnes, Calvin Barnes, Edward (Pamela) Barnes, and Archie (Sandra) Barnes; his sisters Myra Underwood, Lennie Little and Felicia (Deron) Hamilton and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and his Granite Mountain “family”.
